How a debtor was located after conventional enquiries failed
The Brief
A finance client referred a matter after previous attempts to locate the debtor had been unsuccessful.
Contact details were no longer reliable. Known addresses had produced no result, and conventional searches had reached their limit.
The client did not need another database search.
They needed a verified lead.
What We Found
Our investigation began by rebuilding the subject’s footprint rather than relying on the most recent recorded address. The following were assessed together:
- Historical addresses
- Employment information
- Known associations
- Previous enquiry outcomes
- Open-source intelligence
Individually, none of the information provided an answer.
Collectively, a pattern began to emerge.
A connection outside the original search area warranted further examination.
Our Approach
Rather than treating the new information as confirmation, the lead was tested against multiple sources.
Once the intelligence met the required threshold, the enquiry progressed to physical verification.
This allowed the client to move forward with significantly greater confidence than an unverified address match would have provided.
The Outcome
A viable location was established after previous enquiries had failed.
The client received a clear report setting out:
- The investigation undertaken
- The information supporting the finding
- The level of verification achieved
The Find Group Difference
Finding information is not the same as locating someone.
A name against an address may be a lead. It is not necessarily an answer.
Our role is to test the information, resolve inconsistencies and establish what can reasonably be relied upon.
When conventional enquiries stopped, the investigation continued.
